Gulliver’s Travels is among the best loved adventure stories in the English language. First published in 1726 as a satire on public life and moals, Jonathan Swift’s Travels into Several Remoe Nations of the World caught the imagination of readers of all ages, and it has remained a popular favourite for over two hundreds years.
This edition, illustrated by Stephen Baghot De la Bere, and first published in 1916, contails two of Lemuel Gulliver’s famous voyages. In the first, Gulliver meets the tiny inhabitants of Lilliput and helps settle their feud with neighbouring islanders. His second voyage takes him to Brobdingnag, and describes his adventures among a race of giants.
